CONGRATULATIONS, FLETCHER’S CHAPEL & FRIENDS!

In the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 25, verses 31-46, it is recorded how Christ will judge the nations.  He will separate the people like a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats and he will say to the righteous “ Come you who are blessed by my father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food…….”

On Sunday March 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., we had a drive-by, drop-off food drive in the parking lot at the church.  The suggestion came from Jeff Morfit and the Nurture Committee.  David Beals, John and Lori Radolinski, and Pam Thompson volunteered to help collect the food and Marie Williams delivered it to the food bank.  Members and friends of the church donated forty-two bags of food.

The church is to be congratulated on this effort.  For those who weren’t able to donate this time, there will be other opportunities in the future.  Doesn’t it feel good to know Fletcher’s Chapel is among the sheep.  May all of you be blessed!

Sermon for August 2, 2020!

Hello everyone! Well, we have gotten some of the much-needed rain we were wanting for our lawns and our farms and it looks like we will be getting more from the leftovers of Hurricane Isaias. Even now during the pandemic, we have so much to be thankful for everyday – from waking up to having a place to lay our heads at night and so much in between. Start your week by listening to the sermon from Barry below and then please take care and stay safe as you go through the rest of the week! And don’t forget to keep praying for our country and our families and friends!

FLETCHER’S CHAPEL FOOD DRIVE: DRIVE BY—DROP OFF

It has been months since we’ve done any serious mission work for our community.  So, here is an opportunity for us to safely get involved in a food drive.  On Sunday, August 9, we will be collecting food in the church parking lot.  You can drive by any time between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and drop off non-perishable food items.

If you would like to contribute, but that time isn’t convenient, please contact Barry (540) 625-2539.  I’ll arrange to pick up the food at your convenience.  Please prayerfully consider what you can do; the need is great, and the resources are not.

        Be blessed.   Pastor Barry

Please remember to keep in touch with those you can and pray for all of us everyday! Have a wonderful and blessed Sunday! Remember to be the best person you can even in these hard times! And please, take precautions and try to stay safe! 🙏🙏

Sermon for July 5, 2020!

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful and safe July 4th! Although we can’t be together right now, it doesn’t mean we can’t keep in touch with our friends and family, and most importantly, keep our fellow members in our prayers! Hopefully this will be all over soon and we will be able to return to Fletcher’s safely! Until then, please stay safe and pray for our nation to heal soon from both the virus and the other turmoil happening within our borders. God will bring us through this all!
